Some of my most favorite things in the world are books, especially books for children...everything from the well-worn board books I read over and over again to my own kids to young adult dystopian novels. Creating books for children -- whether they tell true or entirely made up stories -- is an honor and I dream of having my books line shelves just like these some day soon.

I joined the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators back in 2010. Since then, I've been generating ideas, studying my craft, learning about the children's book publishing industry, and working on manuscripts. I promise to post any book publication news here as soon as I am able.
